Our WIDE Action Research Program

WIDE’s Action Research Seminar is designed to help educators assess the impacts of the professional development with WIDE  at their own schools. The seminar introduces educators to the process of action research as a means for promoting school improvement. It helps educators document and evaluate professional development structured by the Teaching for Understanding framework in their schools.

Participants learn about the purposes of collaborative action research and how to work effectively as part of a team. They learn how to define research goals and questions, choose participants, select appropriate methods for gathering and analyzing data, and present research findings for different audiences.
