River Valley High School and Ngee Ann Secondary School are collaborating with WIDE World to host the very first Teaching and Leading for Understanding Conference in Singapore this July, where school leaders and teachers will showcase their successful application of the framework at both the classroom and organizational level. WIDE World's founders, Professor David Perkins and Dr Martha Stone Wiske will be there as key presenters as well. Read the program>

National Staff Development Council Presentation on WIDE World and Kentucky Department of Education "From Classroom to Capitol. Taking a Core Sample" with Debbie Daniels, Kentucky DOE, Robin Thacker,Asst. Superintendant, Henderson County Schools, Melanie Benetiz, Math Teacher, Louiseville Public Schools, and Mary McFarland, WIDE World Course Instructor.

June 20-21, 2007

Stone Wiske and David Zarowin met Her Majesty Queen Rania in Amman, Jordan to discuss ways that WIDE World might support education reform there. Dr. Wiske also addressed the Innovative Teachers Forum Arabia, sponsored by Microsoft. If you're looking for an elementary school professional development plan, seek us out at the National Association of Elementary School Principals (NAESP) convention in Seattle, WA. Mary McFarland will be speaking on "Leading, Learning, and Teaching for Understanding." WIDE World will be at Booth 1245 if you would like to talk about the presentation or your professional development planning.

You won't want to miss the National Association of Secondary School Principals (NASSP) convention in Las Vegas, NV, this year.
